This is the level 1 PADI diving class. It is essentially the first half of the the PADI Open Water Course. During this class, you will learn about the equipment, the rules, and some theory about SCUBA diving. This class can be completed in only 1 day. We will begin in a swimming pool or in confined water to practice some skills and to reinforce the theory. After which we will go for 2 fun dives in the ocean and put some of those new skills to use. Upon completion of the class, you will receive a PADI SCUBA Diver certification and will be able to dive to a maximum depth of 12 meters or 40 feet under the supervision of a dive master or higher. Should you decide to continue forward in the sport, the dives can be credited toward your next certification. This class normally begins in the morning at the pool and then we go for ocean dives in the early afternoon.
