The reefs in front of and around Playa del Carmen have something to offer divers of all skill levels. The shallow dive sites just in front of the beach are loaded with wildlife and are easy to dive for beginners. The deeper sites and the ones to the south generally have strong currents and are recommended for advanced scuba divers.
We access the different reefs by boat which departs directly from the beach. On most days, the morning trip goes to the advanced dive sites and the afternoon trip heads for the easier sites.
